The Hydrowave KVD H2 is a Marine Audio Device based on the reactive senses of a bass and other predatory fish – delivering the latest in patented, sound emitting technology, effectively imitating the audible underwater sounds of baitfish and fish-feeding activities. Research has proven these sounds stimulate feeding in game fish.
In addition to the 16 sound patterns on the H2 Bass Hydrowave, the KVD H2 has 9 additional sound patterns designed by Kevin VanDam for specific fishing situations:
- Shallow Power
- Shallow Finesse
- Top Water Schooling
- Off Shore Structure
- Off Shore Schooling
- Off Shore Finesse
The Hydrowave acts as an underwater manipulative, like bait; however, it communicates to the fish’s primary sensory system, the lateral line. It is involved in important behaviors such as prey detection, predator avoidance, or swimming in schools.
The Hydrowave is built on this science; however, the focus is prey detection. When the Hydrowave is turned on, it sends out reverberations to a bigger fish’s lateral line, creating a reality for them that there are smaller fish around and fellow fish are feeding on them. The bigger the fish’s natural competitive instinct drives it to want to feed as well. This is how Hydrowave Ignites a Feeding Frenzy and gives fishermen a considerable advantage in catching a greater number of fish.
